As the sun dropped below the horizon an incoming storm created some very dramatic mackerel clouds and light in the sky above the coastline near Florence, Oregon. Off in the distance you can clearly see the light emitted by the Heceta Head Lighthouse. The light beam can be seen for approximately 21 nautical miles making it the strongest light on the Oregon Coast. You may want to view this on a black background!
