Subalpine gardens of Paradise meadows, Mt. Rainier National Park. The view is looking East at the sun-kissed Tatoosh Range from the base of Mt. Rainier (approx. 6500 ft. level). Thank you to everyone for taking a moment to view my work, for voting and/or for any constructive comments!

This is a shot of the rolling wheat fields of the Palouse taken from the top of Steptoe Butte in Eastern Washington State. I thought that this early spring perspective (beginning of the growing season) made for some interesting textures and view of the water canals winding through the farmlands! Thank you for viewing, voting and/or any constructive comments. Enhance your view by pressing "H" and then "M".

A beautiful Fall evening at the Columbia River Gorge. The mighty Columbia River (fourth largest river by volumn in the United States) seperates the borders of Washington State and the State of Oregon. This image is taken from the Washigton side. My first take on another classic spring sunset composition from Steptoe Butte located in the Palouse region of Eastern Washington state. I really liked the compression effect resulting from the long lens, hopefully you will to! Thank you for viewing, voting and/or any constructive comments.

Another often shot composition from atop Steptoe Butte in the Palouse region of Eastern Washington State. I thought I would post this sunrise version of a similar composition (taken the day before at sunset) that I posted few ago) so that those interested can get an idea of the light variation. Thank you for viewing, voting and/or any constructive comments!

Not much snow on Mt. Hood nor much weather drama this time of year but Trillium Lake is always a favorite. This mallard duck decided to steal the show just as the sun dropped behind the hills and the water got calm. She positioned herself right in the middle of my reflection shot. Oh well thought you might enjoy the view anyway! Thank you for viewing, voting and/or any constructive comments!

One in a series of twilight/sunrise images that I made a couple of summers back and just never got around to processing. This is a blue hour version of Mount Rainier reflecting into lower Lake Tipsoo (taken just a few minutes prior to sunrise). Thank you for viewing, voting and/or any constructive comments!

So many interesting compositions overlooking the wheatfields of the Palouse from Steptoe Butte. I thought this one was a bit different and really showcased the first of the sunrise light raking across that amazing rolling landscape...hope you like it! This well known tarn is located in the Northern Cascade mountain range (Cascade Pass) of Washington State. At an elevation of around 5,700 ft. there is still no snow so far this year but I thought the autumn colors with Liberty Bell mountain in the background made for a nice composition anyway. Thank you for viewing, voting and/or any constructive comments!

Just back from a quick roadtrip to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons... my first visit to both! As you can see we were able to catch some of the fall colors and even had some nice clouds. Amazing places, can't wait to get back there when I can spend a little more time exploring. Hope you enjoy! Thank you for viewing, voting and/or any constructive comments.

Anyway, I really liked the light and cloud mix in this classic sunset winter Tunnel Vew. Thank you for viewing, voting and/or any constructive comments!

One more from last spring at Steptoe Butte/Palouse region of Washington State. Thought the dust trail added a fun element juxtaposed with some pretty awesome rolling hills/lights & shadows. I'm off to the Southwest (Moab, Canyonlands, Monument Valley, Page, Sedona, etc. for a few days (my first visit,... so I'm hopeful I can do it justice and come back with at least a few decent shots to share)! As always, many thanks for viewing, voting and/or any constructive comments!

My first trip to the Southwest so naturally I had to try my take on a few of the classics...patience please! My buddy Tom Smith and I definitely enjoyed this very beautiful morning and view from Mesa Arch. We especially liked meeting and visiting with the many other photographers who made the trek there for the same reason...didn't appear that anyone left disappointed! Things didn't look too promising weatherwise when we first arrived at the Green River Overlook area for an evening sunset shoot. About an hour before this shot was taken things were totally socked in and it was snowing (lightly but steadily). Just as we were about to give up the snow suddenly stopped falling and we started to see a few breaks in the sky/clouds with some beautiful light rays raking acrooss the canyon floor..this is the result. Thank you for viewing, voting and/or any constructive comments!

One of the most photographed places on the planet for sure but since this was my first visit I couldn't resist! We only had one evening at Horseshoe Bend and fortunately for us we ended up with some pretty interesting light/clouds/sky just as the sun dipped over the horizon. Thank you for viewing, voting and/or any constructive comments!

Thankfully the weather cooperated and I was able to get this shot of the classic red barn at sunrise! Thank you viewing , voting and/or any constructive comments!

A common Steptoe Butte composition for sure but thought I'd add my take on the "Lone Cottonwood Tree". Just loved how the light/shadows and curvy llines came together on this particular spring evening! Thank you for viewing, voting and/or any constructive comments!
